St Anne’s RC Church, Crumpsall – A Welcoming Parish Community
At St Anne’s RC Church, Crumpsall, we are committed to being a place of welcome, safety, prayer, and belonging for all.
Our Parish Priest, Fr. Joshy Joseph, warmly invites:
all children
teachers and school staff
parents and families
and the wider community
to gather in the Parish Church for the celebration of Holy Mass.
The Heart of Our Faith: The Eucharist
In the life of the Church, the Eucharist is central. Participation in Holy Mass within the parish helps children to:
grow in understanding of faith through lived experience
develop habits of prayer and reflection
feel part of a wider, caring Catholic community
build a lifelong relationship with Christ
This reflects the mission of Catholic education, where parish, school, and family work together in unity.
A Safe and Supportive Environment for Every Child
At St Anne’s, we are dedicated to ensuring that every child and family feels:
safe and protected
valued and respected
welcomed and included
All parish activities are carried out in full accordance with the safeguarding policies and procedures of the Diocese of Salford.
Our commitment reflects the responsibilities of parish life as outlined in the Code of Canon Law, ensuring pastoral care, dignity, and the spiritual wellbeing of all.
Our Shared Invitation
We warmly encourage all children, families, and school communities to join us in the Parish Church to celebrate Holy Mass together.
Here, faith is not only taught—but lived, experienced, and shared in a spirit of peace, respect, and joy.
St Anne’s Parish is your spiritual home—open to all, rooted in faith, and committed to every person’s wellbeing.
Parish–School–Diocese Communion
Within the life of the Church, the celebration of the Eucharist and the pastoral care of the faithful are entrusted to the ministry of the priest and are rooted in the life of the parish.
Accordingly, all matters concerning the celebration of Holy Mass and the spiritual life of the community are properly undertaken in communion with the Parish Priest, who exercises pastoral responsibility for the parish in accordance with the discipline of the Church.
This communion is lived in unity with the wider Church, including the Bishop and diocesan leadership, so that parish, school, and diocese act together in harmony, not in isolation, for the good of children, families, and the whole community.
“In the life of the Church, nothing concerning the celebration of Holy Mass or the pastoral life of the parish is rightly undertaken independently of the Parish Priest, but always in communion with him and the wider Church.”
Our Shared Invitation
We warmly encourage all children, families, and school communities to join us in the Parish Church for the celebration of Holy Mass.
While school-based liturgies support children’s understanding and participation, the parish church remains the proper, visible, and central place for the celebration of the Eucharist within the life of the Church.
Here, faith is not only taught — it is lived, experienced, and shared within the wider parish family, across generations, in a spirit of prayer, respect, and joy.
St Anne’s Parish is your spiritual home — open to all, rooted in faith, and committed to the dignity, safeguarding, and wellbeing of every person.
